Indoors, reduce clutter in garages and storage areas, since scorpions favor undisturbed, dark spaces. A UV flashlight used outdoors at night can also help you spot scorpions, since they fluoresce under UV light, giving you a sense of where activity is concentrated.
If scorpion sightings continue despite these steps, a combination of professional exclusion work and targeted treatment tends to be more effective than DIY sprays alone.
